The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck Book Cover

Overview
This project was for a Digital Art & Design course at Washington State University. We were asked to redesign a book cover of our choice. I chose The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck because I felt as thought previous versions of this cover were monotonous and outdated. I thought I could create something eye-catching and fun, just like the book is.
What I Learnt
This was a great project as I had quite a few parameters that I had to work with. There are certain things that need to be on a cover, and there aren’t always compromises for ‘the ideal design’. Because of this I practiced designing to fit the breif, and thinking outside of the box to come up with solutions that I was happy with.
Programs Used
During this project I used Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Adobe Illustrator was used to create the designs. These elements were then dropped into InDesign. The mockup to the right was done using Photoshop.
